It wasn’t too long ago, as a youth, when I used to look forward to a spell of really cold weather. I would get all bundled up and leave at the crack of dawn to go out with my buddy where we would head for the woods. There we would explore, as only kids could do, and would stay out most of the morning. I remember how the air felt crisp and frigid as I would take breath by frigid breath. That was a time to be alive.
Cycle forward a number of decades and how things have changed. Now it’s all I can do to leverage myself out of bed. Pains in my legs and arms preclude me from even venturing outdoors. On top of everything else, we have another arctic incursion with snow and or ice bearing down on Forsyth Mo. as of Tuesday, Jan 7th. It’s due to hit on Thurs, Jan 9th late. Swell!
